Emmanuel Convention Centre

The year 1947 saw the first annual Pentecostal Assemblies of Newfoundland and Labrador camp meeting, located at Long Pond, Manuels, just outside St. John’s. For 31 years Camp Emmanuel was a summer highlight for many Pentecostals, and a number of permanent buildings were erected. Growth in the area created the need for more privacy and room for expansion. In 1978, Camp Emmanuel was relocated to Route 340, on the Lewisporte Highway, with the first Family Camp being held there the following summer. This is an annual denominational event, held in July.

Emmanuel Convention Centre is the setting for several annual events hosted by the Pentecostal Assemblies of Newfoundland/Labrador:

• Family Camp (8 days in July)
• Youth Breakaway I and II (June and August)
• Women’s Ministries Convention (September)
• Biannual General Conference (June)
• Biannual Leadership Seminar (June of non-conference year)
• Annual Pastoral Conferences (October)

Roy D. King Building

The Roy D. King building is a 2-storey hotel on the property of Emmanuel Convention Centre. It is handsomely appointed, offering the following features:

• Reservations open to the traveling public on a year-round basis
• 13 main floor rooms with full washroom facilities including 2 main floor wheelchair accessible rooms (2nd floor also wheelchair accessible)
• 16 second floor rooms with full washroom facilities including 2 main floor wheelchair accessible rooms
• Board room for a meeting of 12 people
• Open on a year-round basis.

A.S. Bursey Memorial RV Park

The Emmanuel Convention Centre features an RV Park which is open from the Victoria Day weekend in May to October 31. Please call our E.C.C. manager to make reservations for a camp site.

• 20 and 30 amp electrical service
• Water hook-up for each site
• Grey water dumping ONLY
• Dump station at the back of the park
• Pets are allowed
• Playground for children
• Fire pit at the entrance of the RV Park

Need a Venue?

Emmanuel Convention Centre is available for special occasions on a seasonal basis. From May to October it may be booked for weddings, reunions, retreats, seminars, conferences, etc. ECC has other serviced accommodations that will meet your needs. Call our staff to schedule your event and obtain facility rates.
